According to the Public Relations Office of the Qom seminary scholar’s community, following the U.S. President’s brazen threat to the Supreme Leader – May his shadow lasts – the Teachers’ Community of Qom Seminary, the Supreme Council of Iranian Seminaries, and the Management Center for Seminaries issued a joint statement.
The text of the statement is as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
“When the faithless plotted against you to take you captive, or to kill or expel you. They plotted and Allah devised, and Allah is the best of devisers.”
(Quran 8:30)
The evil and malicious words of the U.S. President regarding the threat to the life of the great Marja’ of the Islamic world, His Eminence Ayatollah Khamenei (may his shadow lasts), once again revealed the highest point of helplessness and ignorance of imperialism. There were many criminals throughout history who became humiliated and insignificant after their arrogance and pride and fell into the trap that they had set following their egotism, lowly and abject.
During the migration of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him and his family), the infidels used their utmost efforts to martyr him; but the will of God thwarted their plot, and they were disgraced in the face of God’s infinite will and power.
The seminaries, alongside the Islamic Ummah, condemn the shameless insult of the disgraceful president of the United States and declare:
Undoubtedly, the slightest attack on the sacred position of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khamenei – may his shadow endure – will have very dire consequences, and there will be no escape from them for its perpetrators. This imperialist and Zionist nonsense does not stem from power; rather, it is a sign of their weakness and wretchedness. The truth is that the divine leaders are not afraid of these threats, and their lives are in the light of divine assistance and the attention of the Imam of the Age – may we sacrifice our lives for the dust of his footsteps.
Religious authorities are the standard-bearers of human guidance and Islamic unity, alongside the policies of Islamic civilization. His Eminence Ayatollah Khamenei – may his shadow endure – is a divine leader who, regardless of the world’s political relations, is in charge of the leadership and authority of the great movement of seeking truth and freedom.
Any threat or attack on the position and dignity of Marja’iyya means declaring war on the entire Islamic nation and a clear betrayal of values and is a fire whose flames will engulf all the bloodthirsty oppressors.
“And the wrongdoers will soon know to what goal they will return.”
