Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi: he was born in religious family in Shiraz in 1926. He finished his primary and high schools in Shiraz, and entered Qom seminary in 18 year old, and participated in advanced jurisprudence courses of its prominent scholars, and traveled to Najaf to become familiar with juridical and principle views of its jurists in 1950. after participating in advanced jurisprudence courses of Najaf jurists , he achieved the Ijtihad degree in 24 year old. In 1951, he returned to Iran because of lack of facilities, and moved to Qom seminary. Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi has been activated in many cultural and scientific activities. He teaches jurisprudence and principles in highest level about 40 years. In this period, he has trained many prominent seminarians that most of them now serve in key positions of country or seminaries. Some of his works are;
- Nemoneh commentary (about 30 volumes)
- Subject commentary of Quran message (about 10 volumes)
- Semi-philosophers
And more than 50 valuable works, his writings do not limited to special field, and most of his works are in the field of theological studies. Some of his books are to respond the day’s doubts so that it can be said his books has been corresponded with day’s issues. Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi has not denied any efforts for existing Islamic revolution and protecting Islamic movement. He has played main and important role in compiling constitution and has constantly invited people to obey the supreme leader and maintaining Islam and publicity of this regime. He was known as the highest and most scientific Islamic authority by the announcement of community of seminary scholars of Qom, after the death of ayatollah araki. Now he engages in training seminarians and guerdoning Shiite school.
